Flag Dispute

Believe a flag on your record is incorrect? We're here to help.

Patronscan’s flag network is used by venues to help keep their staff and patrons safe by sharing information about incidents that have occurred on their premises.

If a venue has placed a flag on your ID, you have the right to dispute it — and we take every dispute seriously.

What Happens Next

Once your dispute is submitted, here’s what you can expect:

  1. Acknowledgement. We’ll confirm we’ve received your dispute, typically within 1–2 business days.
  2. Review. Our team will forward your dispute to the venue that placed the flag. The venue is responsible for reviewing the incident and determining whether the flag should be upheld, amended, or removed.
  3. Resolution. You’ll be notified of the outcome of your dispute once the venue has made a decision. In many cases, this process takes 7–14 business days, though timelines can vary depending on the venue’s response time.
